32 new roads have been constructed in Dubai, increasing traffic capacity by 200%.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed extensive road and lighting improvement works in the industrial areas of Al Qusais 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The project included the construction of 32 new roads with a total length of 10 km and the installation of lighting over 43,000 meters.

Results:

– Road capacity has tripled, from 500 to 1,500 vehicles per hour in both directions.

– Improved connectivity with major streets: Amman, Beirut, Aleppo, and Damascus.

– Easier access to 320 workshops, 25 residential buildings, shops, and educational institutions.

– Approximately 60,000 residents of the area have benefited.

Other projects in residential areas:

Margham: Completed roadworks extending 5 km along the Dubai-Al Ain road, serving around 1,100 residents.

Lahbab: Improved 4 km of roads and lighting along the Dubai-Hatta road, benefiting more than 3,000 residents.

Al Lisaili: Improved 7 km of roads and lighting in the Seih Al Salam and Al Qudra lakes area, covering about 2,900 residents.

Hatta: Improved roads in the Suhaila area, including a 2 km road extension and street lighting installation, benefiting 6,000 residents.
