Global Recognition

Bali has been named the second most sought-after destination in the world by TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards 2025, securing its position as the top destination in Asia.

The annual TripAdvisor awards evaluate the popularity of destinations, hotels, beaches, and attractions based on traveler reviews and preferences. In 2025, Bali maintained its second-place global ranking for the second consecutive year.

TripAdvisor highlighted, “The Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best celebrates destinations that receive the highest volume of outstanding reviews and ratings over the past 12 months. Less than 1% of the 8 million listings on the platform achieve this milestone.”

Top Rankings for 2025

London secured the first position, followed by Bali in second and Dubai in third. The rest of the top ten includes Sicily, Paris, Rome, Hanoi, Marrakesh, Crete, and Bangkok.

Bali: A Paradise on Earth

TripAdvisor describes Bali as “a living postcard, an Indonesian paradise that feels like a dream.” Visitors can enjoy pristine white-sand beaches, explore coral reefs, or dive into the colorful remains of a WWII shipwreck.

On land, lush jungles house ancient temples and playful monkeys, while the cultural hub of Ubud offers traditional dance performances, workshops in batik and silver crafting, and rejuvenating yoga classes.

Emerging Travel Destinations

In 2025, Bali’s tourism authorities are focusing on promoting less-explored regions like West, North, and East Bali. Travelers can discover the breathtaking waterfalls and jungles of Munduk or watch dolphins at sunrise along the tranquil shores of Lovina Beach.

Beyond Bali, the Indonesian island of Sumba has been named Asia’s top destination by TimeOut. Known for its idyllic beaches, like Nihiwatu, and rolling savannah landscapes, Sumba is perfect for those seeking adventure and tranquility.

For added convenience, travelers can easily explore both islands, with twice-daily flights connecting Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport and Sumba’s Tambolaka Airport via Wings Air and Nam Air.
