Dubai has taken second place in the world for the number of family beaches.

Would you like to spend a day at the beach with your children? You’re in luck: Dubai has been recognized as the second most family-friendly beach destination in the world. Only in Dubai can you find camel rides and the world’s largest inflatable water park.

Research by Insure My Trip showed that Dubai was second only to Costa Rica. Parameters evaluated included average sea temperature, cost of water activities, cleanliness, and safety of the beaches. Dubai scored 10 out of 10 for safety, thanks to its water parks and family attractions.

The third place was taken by Australia’s Gold Coast, and France, Corsica, and Sri Lanka also made it to the top 10.

Dubai’s beaches will become even better thanks to new zones for night swimming, cycling tracks, and specially designated women’s beaches. This was confirmed by Sheikh HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum as part of the “Dubai 2033 Quality of Life” strategy aimed at improving access to essential services within a 20-minute drive for all residents.

Here are some of the best family beaches in Dubai:

Kite Beach

This beach offers everything for the family: mini-bungee jumping, paddle courts, running tracks, and stand-up paddleboarding. You can also build sandcastles and have a snack at cafes such as Circle Cafe or beachside kiosks. Children can enjoy inflatable attractions at Aqua Parks Leisure water park.

JBR Beach

The beach with the world’s largest inflatable water park, stunning views of Bluewaters Island, and Ain Dubai. Along the beach are restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and Aprons & Hammers, and you can see camels walking along the beach.

Ness Nass Beach

A popular spot for families with kite surfers. At Common Grounds cafe, you can have avocado toast and cabbage and mushroom omelets. Kayaking and bodyboarding are available for active enthusiasts.

Umm Suqeim Beach

This beach is located behind Umm Suqeim Park and offers beautiful views of the Burj Al Arab. There is a running track, Arabian Tea House for lunch, and Book Hero cafe with second-hand books.
