How to resell real estate and keep a visa in the UAE?

New rules for the sale of real estate! Previously, the basis for obtaining a visa was the purchase of the real estate in Dubai. When selling real estate, the permit was automatically canceled, and the owner had to deal with its registration again if he planned to stay in the country.

Such a system blocked real estate transactions in the DLD (Dubai Land Department) plan for the entire visa period, making the sale of a complex and time-consuming procedure. I had to cancel the visa and then start the process of selling.

Now everything is much easier! Since the procedure has been reduced to three steps:

1️⃣ Buy real estate for $204,000 (to get a visa for 2 years), or $545,000 (to obtain a permit for 10 years).

2️⃣ Exchange the old certificate of ownership for a new one issued in the same owner’s name.

3️⃣ Carry out the resale of the first property, keeping the visa.
