Major Traffic Improvements in Dubai: Key Neighborhoods Set for Major Upgrades
Dubai is set to undergo significant traffic improvements in five of its busiest neighborhoods thanks to a Dhs6 billion investment project. The plans include new bridges, additional roads, and improved access points, reducing travel times by 30–70% in areas like Palm Jumeirah, Business Bay, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Production City, and International City.
Which Areas Will Benefit?
✅ Business Bay
Improvements will be made to intersections off Sheikh Zayed Road, and a new pedestrian bridge will be built at the First Al Khail Road junction. Internal roads will also be upgraded, cutting travel times by 30% at entry and exit points.
✅ Palm Jumeirah
New acceleration and deceleration lanes will be constructed at six locations to ensure smoother traffic flow. Additionally, two pedestrian bridges will be built, reducing travel times by 40% and providing safe crossings for pedestrians.
✅ Jumeirah Village Circle
The area will see the development of four new access points, doubling the capacity of entry and exit points and improving traffic flow by 70%.
✅ Dubai Production City
New bridges from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road will improve internal road flow by 50% and reduce travel times at entry and exit points.
✅ International City (Phase 3)
The entrance from Manama Street will be expanded, with a new lane, widened roads, and upgraded intersections. This will cut travel time from 15 minutes to just 5 minutes.
These improvements will make getting around Dubai faster and more convenient, benefiting both residents and investors.
