Mubadala Begins Al Maryah Waterfront Project in Abu Dhabi — A New Lifestyle Destination in the Making
Mubadala Investment Company has officially broken ground on its Al Maryah Waterfront enhancement project, set to transform the island into one of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic lifestyle destinations.
The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Deputy Group CEO of Mubadala, and Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri, CEO of UAE Investments.
A Visionary Waterfront Redesign
At the heart of the project will be a 30-meter luminous sphere, surrounded by a musical fountain system featuring over 1,000 AI-powered water jets reaching heights of up to 75 meters. The entire experience will be choreographed to original music by Emmy-nominated composer Ramin Djawadi, best known for scoring “Game of Thrones.”
The fountain and sphere are being designed by WET, a globally recognized leader in immersive water features.
