UAE Hotels Welcome 16.1 Million Guests in H1 2025

According to Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, the UAE’s hotel establishments hosted over 16.1 million guests in the first six months of 2025 — a 5.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Industry Performance

  1. Total hotel nights reached 56 million, up 7.3% year-on-year.

  2. The average length of stay stood at 3.5 nights.

  3. The UAE operates 1,243 hotels with a total of more than 216,000 rooms.

Hospitality Sector Strength

The Minister highlighted the sector’s resilience and consistent growth, reinforcing the UAE’s competitiveness as both a regional and global tourism hub.

Development Focus

During the Hospitality Advisory Council’s third meeting of 2025, members discussed national initiatives and programmes aimed at:

  1. enhancing hospitality infrastructure,

  2. strengthening investment opportunities,

  3. cementing the UAE’s position as a leading global tourist destination.
